Reading and Writing, Block by Block

Support reading and writing in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood.

We have a huge map of Bushwick on our wall and ceiling. At $1 a word from sponsors, people in the neighborhood will fill the blocks with their poems and stories. The streets will come alive with words, thanks to you.

As the map is filled, supporters will receive photos of the blocks, on the map and in real life, in which their sponsored words appear.

All proceeds go towards paying our rent for the duration of our five year lease at The Room, a sanctuary for thinking and peaceful self-expression.
