Still Waters in a Storm models a mode of education that goes to the heart of what schooling should be: a love of learning. At a time when formal education seems increasingly preoccupied with measuring and quantifying results, Still Waters reawakens in children and young adults the innate joy of discovering for oneself new knowledge and understanding. In the afternoon I spent there I was witness to the magic that can come from genuinely working together for a common aim. Still Waters should be a model school for a new movement to revivify education in America. As the saying goes, still waters run deep.
