Still Waters In a Storm is a truly magical place. It was inspiring to hear the children’s pride in the things they had learned there, from Latin to violin to writing. Stephen Haff has an incredible gift not only for teaching, but for guiding children into helping each other and treating each other with attentive kindness. The focus was always on listening. You’d think that a bunch of kids as young as five years old would suffer when asked to listen to each other read for over an hour, but I have never seen a happier group of people. It’s a truly remarkable community.
